Moolamattom Power Station the second biggest underground Hydro-electric Project in India. The water from the Idukki Dam is carried by the underground pipes to the power station. Idukki Dam, the world's second and Asia’s first arch dam, is 43 km away from Moolamattom. The residual water flows to Thodupuzha river through tunnel and open channel. Thumpichi St. Thomas mount, Nadukani, Malankara Dam, Vayanakavu Temple, Kudayathur Mala and Ilaveezhapoonchira are the nearby attractions.
